DeRielle Cosmetology Academy
is a non-denominational Christian Academy. It started as DeRielle Designworks Academy in 1991 as an Academy to train Cosmetologists for the owner's local chain of salons.
Over the years the industry has trusted DeRielle to send people to be educated to work in the cosmetology field. With 95% retention rate and 100% passing boards, no other Academy has matched its records.
Many have attended our Academy that want to own their own salon. Since the owner, Debbie Eckstine-Weidner, has opened over 50 salons in her career (as well as pet stores, flower stores, gift stores and a daycare center), she has the knowledge to help her students accomplish their goals.
Over the years in the business her company's work has been published in over 200 magizines from Passion to news stand hairstyle magazines. She has worked with manufactures to do education and has gone to an average of 20 to 30 classes a year to keep up with the industry and business world. Our instructors have been active in the Cosmetology industry from 5 to 50 years serving clients, managing and owning salons.
We are Accredited For Growth by Middle States Association ( an Accreditation Agency for Christian and Vocational schools in the Northeast). We allow our students to pay as they attend and accept OVR and SEC funding. And most importantly, we are a small school of 15 to 25 students, determined to help our students become successful. Our students range from 15 years of age to 66. With each class being designed to work with the students special needs to ensure their success.
